About Rotate
How Rotate Connects Community Recycling
Through Rotate, we bring Rotary groups and local host organisations together around small-item recycling in Brisbane. We operate as an ESRAG9620 Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group project supported by the Rotary Club of Tennyson.
Alongside the Rotary Club of Tennyson, we help create places for people to leave items that are easy to miss in household recycling. Community venues handle collection, while specialist recyclers take materials that need a more specific destination.
Our job is to help people check what is accepted, find a recycling wall or specialist drop-off point and arrange collection when needed. Listed materials include plastic bottle caps, aluminium screw caps, steel metal lids, blister packs, corks, reading glasses, writing instruments, stamps, soap, small e-waste and X-ray film.
